This covers a lot of the right ground, but it needs more specifics. What makes a bad job ad? Maybe we could include a made up example, explain clearly what makes it bad and why. Then do the same/similar with a good job ad. For example, a bad job ad might include 300 words of corporate nonsense about your company values. A good job ad might, for example, lay out all the steps of the job application process.
And then more detail on a bunch of points. Don't just include the salary or a salary range, include a salary range calculator. Explain how to do this, why we think it's important, what all the knobs and dials on our calculator do. Then, more generally, I want more on the component parts of a good job ad. Why is it important to have a section on benefits that isn't just '20 days vacation, company pension plan'? What should this section include and why, etc.
As I said right at the top, this covers a lot of the right ground but I want more specifics and direction on what to do and why.
Thanks! Will work on this some more early next week - you're right, I think this could be quite a bit more detailed.
@jtemperton ready for more feedback!
Addressed all feedback! Tried embedding the compensation calculator, let's see if it turns up as expected in preview...
Obvious and non-obvious ways to write a great job ad. Threw this together very quickly, so open to feedback on literally anything here as it's basically a glorified brain dump!
