That's troublesome, isn't it? That undercuts our assumption that the logbooks are definitive records of subscription. I'm adding the logbooks label to this issue, too.
We can temporize in the essays for now, but in the long run it looks like we have to get a clearer picture of the logbooks.
Yes, but we will know much more once we get the cards and logbooks harmonized. Let's not change anything until then.

Jin notes: he has cards that track his use of the lending library 1928–1931, but he only appears in the logbooks in 1925. Why?
