This repository contains early data work for the Shakespeare and Company Project.
The data in this repository is incomplete and may be inaccurate: it was a work in progress when migrated from TEI/XML to a relational database. It should not be cited. It is preserved as an artifact of the process of developing the Project. The many researchers who contributed to the Project, including the data in this repository, are listed at: https://shakespeareandco.princeton.edu/about/credits/

The Shakespeare and Company Project was originally titled “Mapping Expatriate Paris,” and was founded in 2014 by Joshua Kotin, Jesse D. McCarthy, and Clifford E. Wulfman. An overview of the project based on the preliminary data in this repository was available at mep.princeton.edu from 2016 to 2019 with a map created by Moacir P. de Sá Pereira.
