As we have the goal to demo the public site for Hawaii on 10/19, we agreed on adding a simpler version of the charts using images of the graphs created on Google sheets instead of creating them on Plotly, for the time being.
In Scope
On the category list for the dashboard on the public page, include the following links for the new charts:
Incarceration Status - Overall
Incarceration Status - Jails
Incarceration Status - Prisons
Population at Each Facility
Demographics - Age - Overall
Demographics - Age - Jails
Demographics - Age - Prisons
Demographics - Ethnicity - Overall
Demographics - Ethnicity - Jails
Demographics - Ethnicity - Prisons
Demographics - Gender - Overall
Demographics - Gender - Jails
Demographics - Gender - Prisons
Custody Classification
Housing Type Overall
System-wide Housing Type by Facility
On each one of the links of the list above, we will include the title of the graph, a description of the graph, the respective graph image and the source. The graphs images are available here
There are 2 sizes for each graph: one for desktop, one for mobile. They are not supposed to be responsive nor have any of the design features included on the previous graphs created on Plotly (hovering, actual coming from the code, responsiveness, etc).
Below each graph please include the following value for source:
Source: Population Data, Offendertrack, 9.11.2023.
Out of scope
Creating the charts in Plotly, adding data, responsiveness, etc.
Note: just for reference, this sheet has the data used to create the charts.
