I wish to add to this issue. If I click on a program from Files in Linux that uses $CONSOLE:ONLY, it does not open a terminal when PRINT statements are issued. This used to work. It prints in the terminal if I run the binary from the terminal, but no longer from either the IDE nor clicked on directly from Files (Or the Application icon from the Linux Desktop). Has this been broken somehow? I have a very large application (about 10,000 lines of QB64/SQL/HTML/BASH ...) that I now can't publish until this is fixed.
No, this only changes the way that QB64 launches the binary. Launching a terminal when run from external sources would be more difficult due to compatibility, and it likely would create issues when launching a program on a system without any GUI components.
