SoniTranslate, let me know when you're updated, and I promise you, I won't put any languages in this comment anymore because I'm being impatient, I'll be patient this time, OK?
I noticed this as well and it's one of the top problems with using this great software to redub videos to other languages for Wikipedia and I also meant to create an issue about this. I suggest that the title of this issue is changed to be mention slow-down in specific, e.g. "Speed of the translated audio is slowed down".
You can see how I'm using the tool in the linked page (max acceleration is 0, "Acceleration Rate Regulation" and "Overlap Reduction" are both checked) if that helps with debugging this problem. An example how this slowdown sounds like can be seen in the first video under "Known problems" at 0:51.
🚨 I found a problem that at some points, the translated audio is slow and stretched out longer than the normal speech speed. 🚨
📌 For example, in the video, the original sentence takes 0.5 seconds to speak, but the translated sentence takes 0.3 seconds to speak normally, so the translated audio is stretched out.
I understand that it has to do with the synchronized timestamp of the original sentence. ✌🏻
However, in the "Advanced Settings", there is only an option to adjust the speed "Max Audio acceleration" to speed up or not to speed up the translated audio of sentences that are longer than the original. 🤔
👉🏻 Recommend that you consider improving and adding an option to stretch or not to stretch the audio of translated sentences that are shorter than the original.
Thank you 💌, SoniTranslate, for this wonderful program. ❤️❤️❤️
