EMI(Electromagnetic interference) using U2D2 Power Hub #1555

Good afternoon

I am using the U2D2 Power Hub to control two dynamixel motors. First I controlled them using the dynamixel wizard software to check everything was correct and then I make my application on Linux.

When I use it on Linux, linux kernel detects EMI(Electromagnetic interference) in the usb that connects the U2D2 Power Hub, halting the application. I changed the micro USB cable that came with the U2D2 but the error reappears. I was wondering if I can find some solution by grounding the U2D2 Power Hub but I am unsure how to proceed.

Here I attached a picture of the setup I have for the U2D2 Power Hub. What could be the best solution to eliminate the EMI problem?

Kind regards, Alejandro

@alexlt97 Hi, I have built U2D2 PHB in over 50 robots so far. But it's the first time I've heard of it. Although unlikely, it could be the tray you DIY. Can you try removing it and see if the same symptoms occur? In my experience, it is better to have some gap between the PCB and the tray.
