You can see that Remoteplay started correctly if your 3DS' top screen flashes purple & blue. If it does that but you aren't able to receive any frames then it's a problem with your setup as the console will start to send frames as soon as it does that but your computer cannot receive them. You can double check if that's the case by trying to run another NTR streaming client (usually NTRViewer): if it's also unable to receive anything, then it's confirmed to be an issue on your end.
Did you also try to add Snickerstream to your antivirus' exception list?
Remoteplay does not seem to start when I launch Snickerstream. However if I try launching kitkat, I do get the blue/purple flash but this results in the white screen of death for the kitkat program.
Okay update, I got the purple/blue flash on the Snickerstream startup now but still the error so at least now I know that Remoteplay is working. So you said this means the issue is something to do with my end? Could it have something to do with my PC using wired ethernet instead of WiFi?
Holy cow I got it to work. I also confirmed it works with NTR Viewer as well as KitKat so it looks like I'm good to go. I believe the solution was going into the 3ds folder on the SD card and deleting my NTR Selector folder. I then restarted the console and loaded up NTR Selector while holding X so that I could select the "default" setting before loading in 3.6. After this everything magically started working and I couldn't be happier I have been trying to figure this out for the last few days. Thank you for your assistance
Troubleshooting attempted so far:
The README says to double check that Remoteplay has been started on my 3DS. How would I check if this is working?
