[Praxicus]

As an analyst, I want to watch recorded simulations so that I can learn the effects the previous parameters had on the simulation.

We want to accomplish this task so that we can learn how to optimize various parts of the simulation and determine which aspects need additional tuning. The ability to analyze the previously-run simulation allows for a greater degree of learning and improves the iterative process.

Functional Requirements:

• User inputs and parameters are saved to a local file
• Saved simulations can be replayed

Nonfunctional Requirements:

• Replayed simulations must mimic the actual simulation

Dependencies:

• Workflow pipeline needs to be finalized
• Blocked by Engineer user story

Tasks:

• Establish local file I/O pipeline
• Create UI elements to reflect new functionality
• Create system to record user inputs

Estimate: Assuming each task takes ~1 week or less to complete, the potential maximum time to completion is 3 weeks. However, I believe these tasks reflect a workload closer to 2 weeks.

Open Questions: Will this functionality fit within our overall project scope/time constraint? Is a recording more practical than simple data outputs?

Acceptance Criteria:

• Files storing data from old simulations can be loaded and viewed at a later date
• Saved simulation info reflects the actual simulation
