Enhancement Request: Allow Game Audio to Mix with Vita Music / Music Premium

Justification: Many N64 games allow you to control sound effect and music volumes individually allowing users to turn down game music while maintaining sound effects. It would a nice feature to allow users to play their own music with Vita Music + Music Premium over games while still having game audio sound effects.

Current Functionality: When playing music via the Vita Music App + Music Premium no game audio of any kind is heard from Daedalusx64

To Reproduce:

  1. Install Music Premium
  2. Open Vita Music and play any song
  3. Open Daedalusx64 and launch any rom
  4. Game will launch with Vita Music track playing but no game audio can be heard.

What Vita Music / Music Premium are?

By Vita Music I was referring the to Music App that comes stock on Vitas and the Music Premuim plugin which allows you listen to music from the Music App in any game or application.

With this plugin I can listen to any music I have loaded onto my Vita using the Music App while I play Vita Games, Adrenaline, Retroarch and more and it will still play game audio while the music plays over it.

However for the Vita Daedalusx64 port the game audio completely stops if I am listening to Music on Vita using the Music Premium plugin.

Ideally, the game audio would still work so I could hear sound effects of games while listening to music from Vita Music. This is great for games that allow you to control game music audio volume independent of game sound effects. You lower the game music, playing your own music with Music Premium in game while keep the games sound effects.
