On App: Absence popups flash multiple times #94

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Login to a student account on the app using ‘test@test.com’ for the email and ‘password’ as the password.
  2. Logout as the student
  3. Sign in as a professor.
  4. The popups flash multiple times and are very distracting and make it hard to navigate through the app.
