Hi guys,

I am just wondering if you have any updates on the install.md file. I am planning to do some tests and comparisons with our HOT data processing by using SBE processing and also your software. That would be great if we could be in touch.

Hi Fernando,

We're currently in the midst of a substantial overhaul of the codebase, but relatively close to finishing up. I have started documenting the installation process but it is not finalized yet. I'm juggling a couple of different projects at the moment so not moving this along as fast as expected, but hoping to have the overhaul wrapped up by the end of January.

I will leave this issue open for now and update as available.

Hi @mvkovatch3

Thanks for the reply. No worries at all. Let me know if I can be useful somehow. I would love to help and test it when it becomes available.

@fcarvalhopacheco Assuming they will be at sea around the time the overhaul is done, I'm happy to talk with you to get the software running and answer any questions you might have about it.

Thanks @asx-. I am assuming the roadmap, for now, would be something like:

  1. Fork the project
  2. create a conda env with the requirements and dependencies.
  3. Process HOT data using this guide

@fcarvalhopacheco I just merged in a bunch of changes that improve the installation/setup process – check out the updated README.md. Please let me or @asx- know if you have any trouble or find any bugs!

@mvkovatch3 thanks for the heads up! That's great! I will give it a try to see how it goes.
