I guess this is intentional behaviour. Everything's supposed to maintain structure at whatever size, as in this example.
It isn't doing the same thing as your example however. The example is showing structure also adjusting its size to the zoom level. i.e. blocks get bigger and smaller.
This does not occur on the SLUGSoc website when zooming out.

Zooming to 200% enables the mobile layout. I should maybe move a couple of things to higher breakpoints to save stuff clumping together too hard.
Sponsors section still looking eh at 200%, but I'll come back to it.
When adjusting the zoom within browsers the structural elements do not move leading to text simply getting bigger and smaller which is unexpected.
