Happens on reload, or "edit configuration" application doesn't work anymore either.

Could you post the contents of config.json?

If you can launch the app, click Edit Configuration while holding Shift and it will open the json file. otherwise, just open the directory where MicMute is, and you'll find it.

O well, when I open the config it opens another config which I have apparently overwritten with the micmute config, I guess it was still stored in downloads. Il redownload it, I assume it will work correctly again then. Sorry about that haha.
