Gender segregation for names? #12

There is a list of names from which we source the names of the citizens. At present (249f253), the stereotypically 'male' and 'female' names are not separated which can lead to a 'mix-up' between sex (note: I mean sex, not gender) and first name. To those who would say that what I just said in my note may 'solve' the 'problem' (as I could say that those whose names do not 'match' didn't feel that their sex and gender were the same), that is even more stereotypical (in my opinion).

The question is, which is less offensive? Separating names so there is no 'mix-up' or letting names be random? Any opinions are welcome.

Landmines can be there either way you go. I feel that since names are often chosen (even by people who change gender) based on the name's attached gender that sorting the predetermined names to prevent cross naming against typical gender is acceptable. If a player wishes to name their own they can cross themselves.
