I'll consider the ore-type soldiers, leaves, logs. Planks are already confirmed
Wool soldiers most likely not, as they won't be easily distinguishable from the regular clay soldiers
Spawn eggs: we'll have a way better system planned to support all current and future teams
There'll maybe a turtle-like equivalent to the mammoth (like your boat suggestion) but no outright boats. Mounts should be animal-like creatures, not man-made objects.
Bears, maybe as companions, but not as mounts, but I'll check on that with SilverChiren

No Lizards, as they aren't distinguishable enough from geckos to be considered a separate mount

San you should also add a new item, dye on a fishing rod. crafted by placing 1 fishing rod plus a dye in the crafting table. Function - When fishing rod is casted on to the ground somewhere, the clay soldiers will swarm around it like they have a king. im sure this is a function already but i can not get it to work for some reason. Have a good day :P
Suggestions: Bow-40 uses. shoots arrows that deal 3-4 damage. can only be used if arrow is equipped. Eye of Ender-when HP hits 25% teleports the soldier a random distance from the location Dragon Egg-soldier gets 50x hp. makes all limited use items last 100x longer. it's attacks deal 300% more damage. gives the soldier wings. Potion-1 use. can be thrown in a distance. effect depends on the potion used Ice(block)-10 uses-freezes enemies rendering them unable to attack and use their items for 3 seconds.also slows Mounts: Elephant-all damage taken by soldier is directed to the elephant. unlike other mounts Elephant can attack by itself. it's damage is 50% of it's rider's best weapon

you should bring back the ability for clay soldiers to make houses again it sounds like a good idea i honestly don't know why you took it out please bring that back.

The mod is in alpha, so not everything is implemented yet. Also house building will come back as an addon when the mod is finished.

Here a few ideas for CSM
Bows- dropping string and sticks will have the soldiers make little bows. the bows require sticks to shoot (as arrows) and deplete a soldiers health either by half or a instant kill.
Alliances- different colors of clay might become allied and turn into a new mix of the 2 colors. some colors will never ally with others (like red and blue). this option could be disabled in mod settings, and maybe a new item called "allegiance banner" (sort of like the opposite of the disrupters). the "Allegiance Banner" would work by simply clicking on to nations to combine them together.
Collection- the soldiers can be equipped with axes and pickaxes to mine nearby recources and possibly craft their own upgrades.
Cities/economy- id love to see some civilian clay (perhaps just unarmed soldiers?) that focus on building towns and collecting resources and crafting upgrades.
Mobs- mobs can attack the soldiers, and vise versa. however because of their small size the soldiers would be very hard to hit/kill. soldiers are also almost undetectable by mobs unless they are picking a fight to get mobs away from their town or looking for resources.
Walls- in correlation with my civilian idea, civilians will build walls made of wood or any resource they can find. maybe the houses will also be built by this type of block. (block size would be about the normal height for a block, normal length, but width would be 1/3)
roads and cities- nations will eventually build multiple cities. they will also build roads in the cities and from city to city to increase travel speed.
Carts- maybe some type of small animal could pull small carts they have a low passenger cap but can carry materials. maybe they can only drive on roads giving roads a purpose, and maybe a type of explorer wagon that can travel on all terrain but water.
Clay soldier forge- each city depending on size will produce "taxes" for the color. once a certain point is reached, a furnace is built in a house and then little baby soldiers are made.
Taxes- taxes are generated by cities. taxes are used to buy furnaces and eventually a new generation. taxes are also needed to upkeep a large army or workforce. if not enough taxes are being paid to upkeep the army, the army will drop their weapons and become civilians. (this option can be disabled)
recruitment- for a civilian to become a soldier, they will have to be trained in an army camp (a building civilians build). they then will be given some kind of weapon. after they are armed and trained they become a soldier. (trained civilians can also just be spawned in so players looking to host massive battles don't have to wait for taxes and cities)
These last ideas are very far from CSM's current game play so maybe this could be some sort of optional add on. but i do understand these ideas are far fetched so if you reject them i get it.
id love to see some soldiers with muskets and cannons. they would line up and do some cool 16th century battles. maybe some galleons can be included too. also maybe the soldiers can dig mini tranches in blocks to decrease the chance of an enemy hitting them with a ranged weapon. also id love to see some WW1 things such as mini tanks, aircraft carriers, battle ships, AA guns, and biplanes.

-Eye of Ender Ranged ability. When used, the target's position is revealed to nearby allies of the user. This nullifies the egg upgrade of the target. Perhaps this is just a passive ability where the user shares vision with allies.
-Redstone Torch Melee weapon/upgrade. Increases the duration of status effects inflicted by the equipped soldier. Perhaps inflicts normal duration against targets with iron block-upgraded shields. Does not apply to afterburn.
-Popped Chorus Fruit A soldier carrying this upgrade can cure an enderpearl/zombie soldier. Perhaps they can only do this to zombies that would normally be allies. I don't think they should have to kill the zombie, as a similar result could be achieved by just giving them clay.
-Pumpkin/Jack-o-lantern Equipped soldier will actively seek out and attack zombie soldiers but will be neutral towards non-zombie soldiers. Maybe non-zombies will also be neutral toward the equipped soldiers. Like sponge, but for zombies. Maybe the soldier can also cure zombies by killing them or has more uses on the above upgrade.
-Firework Rocket Projectile explosive, single use. I can entirely understand if this idea is denied, but it's worth putting it out there.
-Shulker Shell (Sorry if this is considered end-tier) Defensive/support upgrade. A soldier equipped with a shulker shell becomes immune to standard projectiles, spare for emeralds. Perhaps provides allies with a defensive buff - or puts up a barrier, if possible. Maybe the equipped soldier's attack options are limited or they just become passive and instead closely follow allies. May require a brick as a prerequisite to limit the soldier's offensive potential. Or this idea might be completely ridiculous.
-Tripwire Hook A ranged weapon that pulls the target toward the user. If the target has an iron ingot, the user will instead be pulled toward the target. This is counteracted if the user also has an iron ingot. A soldier pulled by this weapon - whether target or user - will be dragged off of a mount they are riding.
-Banner (I imagine this would be quite difficult to implement, but I figured I'd throw it out there.) Changes the function of the Nexus so soldiers can't destroy/deactivate it simply by attacking it. Instead, the Nexus takes on a more "capture the flag"-like function. When attacked, the Nexus would produce a flag that the attacking soldiers will try to take back to their own Nexus. Defending soldiers will attack the flag carrier at all costs. If it is successfully captured, the Nexus it came from is destroyed/disabled as normal. Optionally, the soldier carrying the flag may have drawbacks such as limited mobility, the inability to attack, or the defending soldiers may be able to easily track the carrier.
-How About Soldiers Made Of (Normal Or Glazed) Terracotta, Soldiers Made Of Concrete, -Smaller Crafting Tables Specially Made For Clay Soldiers To Use For Crafting. -Clay Dimension, Where Clay Is Renewable. Great For More Armies! -Clay Soldiers Can Use Smaller Ladders To Climb Up (Crafting Recipe: 6 Small Sticks (Two Small Stick Can Be Crafted From One Stick) In A Vertical 2*3 Area) Similar To A Regular Ladder, But The Distance Between The Ladder Levels Are Short Enough For Clay Soldiers To Climb Them. -Tiny Clay Variants Of Minecraft Mobs, Clay Soldiers Will Sometimes Attack Them, Sometimes Not. These Mobs Drop Clay Variants Of Their Normal Counterpart's Drops (Like, Clay Porkchop From The Clay Pigs). Some Drops Will Be "Eaten" By The Clay Soldiers Or Used For Soldiers To Craft Weapons With In The Smaller Crafting Tables.

A couple of suggestions I posted on discord.
Any idea why larger clay companions are a definite no? I'd love to see it in either this mod or an addon(4 clay blocks around a soul sand makes a life core, build like an iron golem, clay on the bottom left right and top with life core in the middle). Has half the health of the player, follows the player around and can help the player, much like wolves.
Soul Sand: Being imbued with extra souls gives the soldier the ability to give life to inanimate clay lumps/blocks around it, as well as revive fallen allies. Bricked ones will still require ghast tears, however.

Cool. You still opposed to larger clay soldiers? Also, iron nuggets as an extra throwing item, can have infinite supply with iron block (not iron ingot, as that already gives soldiers an iron core).
There's already a larger soldier, but it's an easter egg nobody found out how to get until now. Iron nuggets are already on the "approved" list with sth. else in mind
What is the Easter egg anyway? I'm stumped.

-netherrack soldiers.
-ice soldiers.
-bring back this: the soldier hurt sound
-sponge soldiers.
-apple soldiers.
-mecha soldiers (a robot soldier)
-magma soldiers.
-bedrock soldiers (make them the only soldier pacific type).
-bring to light: the star fruit.
-cobblestone soldiers.
-wool soldiers. i know that its disapproved, but use the classic wool textures for make them more distinguashable.
-end-items. why that are disapproved? that maybe will be cool!
-disapproved mounts. why? dragons are very cool!
-bring back this: when the soldiers attacks the hostile mobs like in the classic mod.

more Ideas: -Dragon mount(can carry 2 clay soldiers, can fly) -Bring back the wood building feature, with more buildings ofc -Soldiers compatible with potion effects -Vines(soldier's attacks slow enemies) -Torch (held item, soldier gives off light) -Ice Block (projectile, deals 1-2 damage, enemies hit are crippled, making them take 3 more damage from all damage dealt to them for 5 seconds) -Tripwire Hook (projectile, deals 3-4 damage, upon hitting an enemy soldier or reaching end of range the hook goes back) -Egg (projectile, deals 0 damage, and all clay soldiers nearby will attack the soldier who was hit by the egg, basically a signal to attack that particular soldier)
suggestion: I see that building is not a priority for this mod any longer since these are clay SOLDIERS, but personally it is what makes the mod fun. The fighting can be amusing for a few hours but it looses its appeal besides making the soldiers fight in hunger games style fights. This suggestion is to make a new mod, or in reality just copy this mod and add building again and call it something else. Clay kingdoms maybe, or something like that. No work would even have to go into it, this mod is good already building was just a major part for me. I run an older version of this mod just to keep building, and have made worlds where i have allowed the clay soldiers to build villages that progress into cities. creating walled cities and whole kingdoms of a certain color of soldier can be a lot of fun but only when the soldiers are building their own homes. Then once these kingdoms are made battles play out on much larger scales, and it makes that aspect of this mod so much better. more buildings types and accurate planks being made would be cool to add, but i dont want to ask too much because i just really want you to fix building.
Heyo, it's me I guess. I was acquaintances with CliffracerX, and have been playing this mod since 1.3 versions, love how it's coming out to be! Would love for some of this stuff to come into the game, I actually got to play some of clay soldiers with CliffracerX, would love for there to be an official server of some sort with this mod.
Anyways, here are my suggestions:
Eye of Ender (soldiers teleport somewhere; limited uses) - @sylveon666
I think that maybe they could use them in battle, and teleport behind the enemy randomly, and they wouldn't be able to be hurt for just long enough so they can attack the clay soldier.
Lava Buckets would turn the clay soldiers into hardened versions. The difference would be that small smoke could be seen on them, and they'd be darker and less saturated. This would double their health and strength, but impair their movement highly. This would be infinite use by soldiers.
Melons act as an infinite food source for soldiers.
Vines would allow for soldiers to tangle their opponents, acting as slime, but slowly damaging them over time. Has 3 uses, and lasts for 3 seconds.
Slime Blocks act as an infinite slimeball source for soldiers.
Maybe Tipped Arrows would act as arrows, but their weapons can give the effects of the arrow? Not sure if it'd be too complicated or not, i'm not too experienced with Java coding myself. :/
Maps would allow soldiers to have atleast near infinite aggro-range. This would be usable by all clay soldiers, kinda like glass.
Bottles would allow for soldiers to instantly bottle up to 4-8 soldiers, making them unable to be revived by clay, and stuck. Once used up, it would be dropped by the soldier.
Instead, how about a Clay Barrier? Clay Barriers would act as a shield that doesn't let soldiers get in or out. You could configure the radius of the barrier, allow certain soldiers to get in, allow the option of the barrier being broken, and how much HP it has, and more! I think it'd be pretty fun to mess around with and make some cool battles with too.
Also, another idea. Clay Chutes! These would allow for clay soldiers to transport easily through. They would be attached to them if no enemies are around, and they will take a random path through it, if there are split paths in the chutes.
I really hope this mod becomes even better, especially by today, when the 1.13 version is released, and there's even more to work with once a 1.13 forge comes out!

New items: Sugar Cane- ranged item, if it hits an enemy soldier they are ensnared in cane, unable to move and use ranged attacks, 1 use Vines- ranged item, if it hits an enemy soldier they are rooted, rendering them unable to move for 4 seconds, 1 use Water Bottle- beneficial item, cleanses soldier of any debuffs(being unable to move, attack, slowed, etc) 1 use Banner- if a soldier holds a banner of it's own color, it grants all nearby allied soldiers +1 attack damage if a soldier holds a banner of another color, it attracts that particular color and forces those soldiers to attack the banner holder (example a violet soldier is holding a red banner, all nearby red soldiers will attack the violet soldier holding the red banner first before all else) Torch-held item, radiates an aura that deals 1 damage to all nearby enemy soldiers each second, but being unable to attack and move significantly slower Ice- held item, radiates an aura that slows all nearby enemy soldiers, but being unable to move and move significantly slower Cobweb-ranged item, if it hits an enemy soldier they are massively slowed and cannot use ranged attacks, 4 uses Redstone Torch- held item, radiates an aura that grants all nearby allied soldiers +20% maximum health (minimum of 1 health, maximum of 25 health) but like ice and torch, the soldier is unable to attack and move slower Lever- throwable item, deals 3-4 damage to first soldier hit, it then drops to the ground, can be picked up to be able to be thrown again

The factory can be destroyed by an enemy clay soldier (even with a corrupted soldier from the same team), the base respawn time for the factory is 30 seconds if the factory is owned by a player Possibility to make spawning in nature "wild factories" owned by colorless Claysoldiers with little RF battery under it. If the wild factory is destroyed by a player soldier, the factory block color will be turned into the color of the soldier wich destroyed it, the block isn't harvestable if wild The factory isn't craftable: It can only be captured THEN harvested NOTE: To prevent the player to harvest the battery abouve the factory to prevent wild soldiers generation, the Battery will be part of the multiblock linked to the factory. Config Option: Allow to create corrupted soldiers with a factory (Defaut: False) [Disable Ender Pearl soldier upgrade in factories] Suggestion: Disruptor that disentegrate all colors of clay soldiers should be a creative disruptor, when you join a team, you get a free disruptor that can disentegrate only your soldiers, to prevent the player "easy wins" on wild factories, or in PvP fight. All color disruptors can be crafted exepted the one for the wild soldiers (leaf, ice, pumpkin etc). A player on a blue team can craft other colors disruptors, but can't use it.
Factory UI a little window with the clay soldier appareance Tabs for production lines, for research, and for factory upgrades Lives left on the factory HPs remaining on the factory in a line production tab: the upgrade list of item, a red X will be toggled on non compatible upgrades (If the a body upgrade is already toggled, all other body upgrades will have a X, same for multiples projectile weapons, swords etc...)
Lets push a bit more far the team system approuved earlier: The player can choose only One team, other teams soldiers will aggro the player Configurable option to give a Number of live to the factory, if the factory lose all its lives, it will be captured (PvP Purpose) Configurable option: A factory option window for targets Exemple: Produced soldiers from the blue team will attack all other colors by default, you can prevent em to targets one or more teams with that filtering team window (PvP Purpose)
Creating a wand: By placing End Rods on the ground, you can link them as flag points for clay soldiers as move orders, or patroling orders Exemple: By placing 4 rods around a factory (lets do a square as a basic exemple), link them by right clicking it with the wand, then put the rod in the factory slot: Newly spawned clay soldiers from this factory will patrol by following the path created by rods, after reaching the rod N°4, they will go back to the N°1, etc. Rods can be flagged with a little flag of the team which reached the flag first (if multiple allied teams are in, the last team on the flag will put their flag on it) Unlinked rods will attract clay soldiers and will encourage them to stay around this rod Config option: Max number of clay soldiers from the SAME COLOR near an End Rod (Defaut 10), Allies with an another colors can be added, meaning that if a red and blu teams are ally, it will be possible to find 20 total soldiers on the same rod
Other Suggestions soldiers can build little houses with logs, why not making little automated gravel turrets with nether bricks ? Gravel turret hp: 10 Rework with the crown upgrade: soldiers around the King will have a little health regen and a small ammo refund/equipment repairs over time (repairing blaze rods, leather armors etc). If the item is already totaly used/destroyed, it will not be refunded by King's Aura
Maybe more suggestions soon, i hope it will be accepted even if it seems hard, it will develop the multiplayer PvP Purpose and the survival gameplay
I kind of want an item that allows me to fight WITH the clay soldiers so maybe like an item that doesn't insta-kill a soldier? (EDIT: Maybe you could bind it to one team so you wouldn't be able to harm that team?)
Also, how about an upgrade, im not sure which item (maybe ink sac?), but maybe an item that allows a clay soldier to dodge?
ANOTHER EDIT: I got this idea from the panic necklace in Terraria, maybe a sugar cane makes a soldier go faster shortly after its hit?

Victim trapped for 5 seconds. 1 use only.) -War block (when placed, nearby soldiers will deal more damage and will try to leave the radius.) -Peace block (when placed, nearby soldiers will deal less damage and will try to leave the radius) -Battle block (when placed, soldiers will try to come to it. Useful for starting battles with stubborn soldiers.) -Clay coins (when given to a soldier, for 30 seconds, opponents near the soldier will fear the soldier.) -Clay bosses (would aggro all teams. So i have an idea ( I originally posted it on Reddit but some people told me to post it here instead)
Each role will be given with an item for instance, farmers will be given a hoe for their role they would go around planting wheat for others.
If your going to add houses in the finished version i would suggest making a item for them so you can place down instant houses, i also think it would be cool to make it so you can place soldiers inside the garrison?
Maybe add more ranged weapons?
More armour types if your using newer versions add rabbit hide for a better piece of armour seeing that rabbit is more rare to get items from.
A banner, This banner will be given to one soldier kinda like the king but it adds a boost for other soldiers within a 5 block radius but other soldiers will target the banner mainly add wool for the colour of the banner!

Galacticraft support addon: Throwing down the galacticraft items that you need to wear to go to a planet down on the grown for soldiers would give them the gear so they won't die.
I think nether quartz should also stun solders for like a second after use as well as push them back further, because the way it is right now the tiny shock wave is rather useless, unless it's held by an iron core soldier on a very high up 1 block wide bridge. Even then the soldiers will get knocked off before the quartz activates.
What if we had an item that made it so when the user is at low HP, it activates, causing the user to be unable to move, but it acts as a better healing.
I kind of want something like a soldier enchantment, to give soldiers special boosts when they spawn, maybe for a limited time. Could be things like high jump, extra damage, extra defense, etc. You would have to enchant a soldier in an anvil or an enchanting table.
First of all, I want you, San, to think at least twice about some of my ideas. I know you have probably plans about some of them, some other are endgame, but I think you will like all of it: -Bedrock - Soldier turns into a statue, making him immobile but also unkillable (mostly as a creative mode feature, as you cant gain bedrock in survival. Might be fun to use though) -Sand - reduces fall damage (unlike feather it does not grant slowfall but reduces the dmg) -Cobweb - could be an infinite source of string -Obsidian - Reduces any damage taken down to 1. Gives a massive speed penalty -Torch - Soldier will produce light of power 8 -Redstone Torch - Increases power of status effects inflicted by soldier. -Ice - Soldier gains a Frost Walker effect (but with 1 Block radius, unlike Frost Walker enchantment that starts with more) -Soulsand - Kills heal. -Vines - Soldier will gain a spider climb. -Flower Pot -Gives a helmet that reduces melee damage. -Hay Bale - Could be an infinite source of Wheat. -End Rod - A weapon with long reach -Scute - A scale armor for a clay soldier. @sylveon666 Kelp works identically as Lily Pad, Prismarine Shard is in mod as Shear Blade upgrade. Also half of your ideas look like copy of mine but whatever :/
more lunatic ideas: Arrow-no longer acts as an upgraded stick. instead used as a 1 time ranged weapon, dealing 10 damage Beetroot-1 time use. cleanses all potion effects on the soldier if soldier hits below 50% HP Sweet Berries-1 time use. when soldier drops below 50% hp it gains temporary speed Totem of Undying-if soldier is killed while holding a totem, it goes berserk, regenerating back to full health but it rapidly decays. upon being revived, soldier loses all it's upgrades, gains a speed boost, and it's attacks do 4 damage and heal for the amount bring back the Clay Cookie- Clay Cookie requires Gold Nugget upgrade to be used. allows it to summon soldiers of same color. 4 uses. Banners- soldiers who are holding a banner of the same color as them grants nearby allied soldiers buffs Golden Carrot- allows soldier to buff allies with speed and strength, but disables it's ability to attack. 10 uses. Soul Sand- ranged weapon. enemies hit are dealt 1 damage and are cursed. gaining a Weakness potion effect. 20 uses Name Tag-maybe this should be the item used to form alliances, if Name Tags have a name, all soldiers that are named the same will not attack each other regardless of color.
