Update & solution
For whatever reason, opening the 'shut down…' window and continuing instantly from it seems not to give the DAS enough time to shut itself down, resulting in the problem.
However, allowing few seconds between opening the window and proceeding with an actual shutdown seems to be giving DAS time to prepare for the shutdown and perform it correctly, going to sleep mode along the shutting down system.
Is there a way to stop TB ports from supplying power after system shutdown?
I have just started using D2-320 DAS and found there's a problem there.
On the Windows side of the hackintosh, but also on a macbook air, the DAS enters low-power state upon system shutdown. On the macOS side of the hackintosh, however, the same operation results in the DAS continuing to run indefinitely.
Sleep works correctly on all three – it's only the shut down and only on the macOS side, that misbehaves.
