[Bug] Creating new checkin item does not show datepicker #96

Expected Behavior

If the user is an admin, when creating a new checkin item via the Checkin page, tapping on the Start Date and End Date fields does not show the DatePicker popup. Seems to be throwing an assertion error on opening the DatePicker.
