It would be nice if the display name was Simply Love Vertical, since otherwise the theme can't be told apart from vanilla SL or other forks when this value is used - for example, in the vanilla SM5.1 theme on the Theme selection screen. Plus, having our names in the Author field is always nice. ^^
However, it looks like it's a breaking change. When I switched it to Simply Love Vertical, all of my player options were reset to default, presumably because they're taken from ThemeDisplayName + " UserPrefs.ini", so if we make that change we should either:

Copy over that file to "Simply Love Vertical UserPrefs.ini"
Personally, I prefer the second option as I don't use the same scroll speed, mini or gameplay extras depending on if I'm playing vertically or not. ^^
