Howdy, I just did a fresh install of Shoko Server+Desktop and I'm seeing a different behavior than I've experienced with prior versions.

Orig Update 478376564153647113:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Being as detailed as possible, please list all steps need to reproduce the issue, if we can't reproduce it then we can't fix it.

  1. Install fresh OS Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17134.228]
  2. Download shokoDesktop and shokoServer 3.9.2
  3. Run Installer

I dont know if I have the time, but, im planning on setting up a VM with the install/snapshots as to replicate the issue. A huge reason I've thought about doing this is based on my validation/bug-repo background. My gross (possibly delirious) assumptions: in the order of probability 1) issue can be an edge case pertaining to the server AND client launch+install+config states.
2) not a shoko bug. All/most factors are outside of Shoko's control/scope 3) actual bug that is encountered with other edge case(s) and/or outside variables, but due to unknown factors cannot be reproduced easily (by devs). 4) bug is a sporadic, but apparent and seen by a good portion of users, but most users work resolve/work-around the issue with ease.

Maybe it's my pessimism from the my past, but these types of issues (with a stupid set of factors), can end up becoming a huge problem OR ignored/FAQ'd for 15 years (and someone notices some quirky code, randomly throws a patch/pull-request that fixes the issue when no one cares anymore; ie, the source of the error was something totally stupid).

Your assumption is most likely correct

1111 From daily build settings.json is missing;

workaround: rerunning

Issue is either fixed or user specific as it hasn't been reported since.
