Create a Solid-based to do application

Pitch

Many applications exist that offer to do list management, but all (most?) of them are hard-coupled to an internal data storage mechanism. The goal of this challenge is to create a simple to do application using Solid technology where the actual to do's are stored within Solid vaults, so that you are in full control of your own to do's.

Desired solution

A Web application to manage to do lists that are stored in your Solid vault, independent of specific storage layouts. This application should be social, so that to do lists can be shared with other people, and tasks can be assigned to one or more people.

Acceptance criteria

• Web application to manage the to do list of a user after logging in.
• The user should be able to choose how (one file / multiple files) and where (directory structure) to do's should be stored. (related to #1)
• To do lists can be shared with other people
• Users can assign to do's to other people

Status Update

Last week was the Gentse Feesten, so not much work going on :sweat_smile:

This week we met and talked about the project plans, goals and constraints. We started discussing the markup of the todo-items and which features we should integrate into the app first, so that everyone can work on their tasks. There was much discussion about the sharing and assigning of todo-items, and we will talk about a lot more in the future. The next planned features for the app are: login with Solid, create a todo-list, core functionality (add/remove/edit todo-items) and save/load the list with Solid).

We have some form of raw "singleplayer" prototype strewn across different code-bases and are now working on bringing them together. There are two big tasks left, of which we are working on the assigning and sharing of tasks across Solid:

• [x] Login with WebId (at least Inrupt and CSS)
• [x] Query Todo-Items from Pod and display them in the app
• [x] Create new Todo-Items and store them in the pod
• [x] Edit Todo-Items and update them in the pod
• [ ] Share Todo-Lists and assign Todo-Items to different people (WIP)
• [ ] Allow user to choose how (one file / multiple files) and where (directory structure) to Todo-Items should be stored.

(just because an item is checked doesnt mean it works flawlessly :smiling_face_with_tear: )

But since work itself on this is pretty much done (https://github.com/SolidLabResearch/solid-todo-app-vue and https://github.com/SolidLabResearch/solid-todo-app-react), I guess this issue can be closed, unless there's more input you need @pheyvaer?
