Importing and linking Cell Ontology #146

From Andra:

Cell ontology (http://www.obofoundry.org/ontology/cl.html) comes with a CC-BY license. As always attribution will be added by the bots through references, but we will not be able to maintain the CC-BY license when the license remains as is. I have been told that manually adding labels and identifiers is acceptable under CC0 as long as we do not replicate subclass information. But mixing CC-BY knowledge with CC0 remains murky. A more viable approach would be to not maintain CO entirely but only those when they appear in either Wikipathways or Reactome (or other sources). This is at least the approach that was followed with the relation ontology. Again I am not a legal scholar, but here we are citing and not maintaining a full ontology on Wikidata

Not a problem. It's not only more viable, but even prefered, in my opinion. In the end, we just need a few dozen terms imported and linked. These are more of a controlled vocab than an ontology since the relationship between needed cell types are more apparent than this full, over-complicated (and rather messy) ontology.

Let's plan to just "manually" import the few terms we need for pathway models.
