Brainstorm GSoC projects

I think it might be time to dip our toe back into the Google Summer of Code project, this time through the Open Bioinformatics Foundation (or perhaps NRNB). Let's use this issue to brainstorm ideas. Ultimately we should be aiming toward proposing 1-2 high quality projects, rather than a large number of mediocre projects...

Placeholder so I don't forget. A possible project could be using NLP to extract (currently unstructured, except for some for some of this being available with a license from DrugBank) data out of FDA approval labels. Possible data include:

• PK/PD
  • metabolites
  • time of onset/time of peak
  • absorption, distribution, elimination
  • half life
• Clinical studies
• Mechanism of Action
  • protein interactions
