Context on the project: what exactly is the status #1161

This year I am a new student at tum, and I wanted to know what kind of project this is. Is it supported by TUM is someone here employed, sponsored and so on, or is it a complete student initiative and tum is just using your tools?

Would be nice if you could add that to the repo

(Disclaimer: I am not part of gocast, nor speaking on behalf of them)

Is it supported by TUM

Yes, next to the full-time employees (CIT's IT Operations Group has 3 full-time people on the media side, but they also have to manage many other systems) gocast has multiple (4?) “Studentische Hilfskräfte" who are working for CIT - ITO.

The last recruiting call was quite successfully and gocast is thrilled about the new members the team has gained.

There are other initiatives, which are heavily contributing to this project, like https://www.ce.cit.tum.de/cm/teaching/winter-term-2022-23/open-source-lab/ ⇒ Fabian/… are doing great work there, I can recommend this course ^^

I don't know how one would add such information to the repo. I think this would get outdated quite fast. Why do you think this is important?

I didnt mean such specific information, but at least what this is would be important. A little more information then on https://tum.live/about maybe? about the group/develoeprs
