You use Magisk root?
You use Magisk root?
No.
Same for me with magisk root
I just quickly removed SuperSU and installed Magisk Root instead and I was able to install YouTube Vanced through Vanced Manager. Actually it took me crashing on install and only reinstall was successful.
Same bug here, even with the manager 2.0... the nonroot works fine but the root version keep in a infinite 'please wait' after download the splited apks, I'm using magisk root with xiaomi.eu rom. (redmi note 9s) Personally I think in my case my system partion is full then I can't finish the installation... but not sure, the vanced manager verify the free space before install?
-- after search more looks like in newer android the system partion is R-Only, then the magisk is what allow replace the system files... this means there no way that my problem is low space in the phone since he will use the main storage. (.magisk) folder, rigth?
Please close the issue. It's fixed. Maybe it was some sort of server issue.
I encounter the same issue.
MIUI12 / A11 LAVENDER Magisk Root 21.1
As described above, while trying to install root version, at best it takes forever (never ends) , at worst it freezes. Both of the ways give stock YouTube once launcher is rebooted.
At that point, I eventually use the reinstall feature in the root section of the manager, and get true Vanced YouTube until I reboot the phone, then the app disappeare.
I had the same problem installing the apps (YouTube Vanced and YouTube Music) from the new manager version 2.0.0 and 2.0.1
I solved it by clearing the storage and cache of the app, uninstalling and installing it again.
If the app disappears is probably because it auto-updates from the PlayStore. To prevent that, install the non-root version or use the Detach Magisk module: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/Detach
I wrote a gist with an example "Detach.txt" file about how it worked for me: https://gist.github.com/mvidaldp/69191a4a22cf552ad61748f0cf69ab71
I also noticed that if your stock or custom ROM has an app called Music already, the detacher will uninstall YouTube Music.

BTW, for me it worked on a Xiaomi Mi A3 with CrDroid 6.12 and Magisk 20.4 (last stable release). Maybe it's because you're using a beta version of Magisk root?

So, another feedback
For now, my problem seems to be solved.
I updated magisk using latest canary version, and finally, vanced root installation gone perfectly through the entire process in the 2.0.1 manager.
To be continued
I am still having this issue trying to install latest Vanced YT v15.43.32, with latest Vanced Manager (v.2.1.0) Alldocube iPlay20 Android10 Latest Magisk Root APK signature disabled Screenshot & Log below
For reference: apk signature verification no longer needs to be disabled
I think the Vanced should have a uninstaller, i'm not sure, but I think my infinite installing problem is because the vanced is half-installed (like how I can see the magisk initializing the vanced service even if my root variant isn't installed), then the installer for some reason can't finish the installation here.

It does have an uninstaller, it's called an uninstall button inside manager

Ah good to know. It's back enabled, still having the issue though. I also disabled adaway as I thought it is maybe blocking some server or something but that didn't help either. Anything else I can try?
@X1nto Not here, I don't have the vanced installed, as I said he is 'installed by the half', After successfully install the rooted variant I did a re-flash of my rom and others thing, after that the vanced is gone, but the service of de vanced is showed in the magisk log, and this mean he isn't fully uninstalled, rigth? Anyway, since Isn't really installed at least here I don't see any Uninstall button...

Well in this case just remove /data/adb/Vanced, /data/adb/service.d/vanced.sh and /data/adb/post-fs-data.d/vanced.sh (do the same for music too if you have it)
I really found those files here, but no lucky after delete it :( Is there a way to make the manager show the installation log?

Possibly via a logcat but I'm not sure if it logs for root installer
Do you guys still have this issue with latest Magisk + manager 2.2.1?
At this point in the game I already gave up on installing, but I'll test it for you. I think it would be nice to put a log function to help in cases like this.
Installing, anyway, while this @X1nto, the Youtube for Android TV have an vanced version?

It does log on new versions

Vanced itself doesn't have an Android tv version but there's Smart Youtube TV
It does log on new versions
Where he store the log?

Logcat. I'm not planning on adding a separate section for logs
I never used the logcat before, srry. Anyway, don't worked... If you want take a look personally you can control my phone with anydesk, No problem for me, you can add me in the discord: Marcus André#0956, If you want just the log I will need research how to use the logcat
Hmm, I think I managed to get the log, let's wait the installer crash
Okay, after 10m he didn't crashed this time for some reason, but I already found suspect things in the log

Okay, a second
Don't worked. I used the logcat again because the 'please wait' message freezes and don't accept the cancel button or anyting, then I can't use the 'save log' button. This log is from the logcat again.

I see you're using EdXposed, I believe that should be the issue since I myself had it with EdXposed
Let's try disable then
Then... I disabled, I even did a reflash of my rom and wiped de dalvik cache and no lucky, keep freezing
I think if you allow enable the log save by session will help freeze/crash cases. Like "log this session" and automatically write the log while the process don't die

Well, there's really nothing I can do, no one has ever had such kind of issue with new manager releases. If no one else has this problem I think it can be closed
Well the non-root version still working, also, not sure if is related but the SAI as well can't install the splited apk with/without root method. Signature Verification is already patched with the lastest lucky patcher.

I see. There's probably something wrong with your ROM. Waiting for others to report if they still have issues
The infamous MIUI (but the EU version), just a bit outdated, I will update one day then who know. PS: Of course, I disabled the MIUI Optimizations

I guess it could really be MIUI. Just to be sure, you're using magisk 21.4 right?
Yes.

Are you using SuperSU? Keep in mind only Magisk Root is supported,
Do you guys still have this issue with latest Magisk + manager 2.2.1?
It actually installs most of the time now, which is nice. Still not every time. And why do I need to reinstall it frequently? Because Vanced App actually stops working whenever I close and reopen it/it crashes/it was installed incorrectly/I reboot my phone. It really doesn't want to stay. I just accpeted the routine of having to reinstall it to even launch it. Vanced Manager installs it most of the time now, so that's a progress.

I use Magisk. I dropped SuperSU to install Magisk specifically to install Vanced.

I guess you could try adjusting sleep timer to see if the Vanced crashing issue still occurs
Please only report your issue here, if all points below are true
Phone Specifications:
Please describe the problem you are having in as much detail as possible: Vanced Manager either takes forever to install YouTube Vanced (version 15.43.32) or crashes (ANR).
Steps to reproduce:
Further details: It shows executing commands up to installing all language configs. If it doesn't crash immidiately it can install stock version of YouTube (without Vanced mod). Stock version works as normal (with ads and no traces of Vanced in it). Vanced Manager doesn't finish installation in that case (spinner continues to spin). If you close and reopen it, it says, that version 15.43.32 was installed and button says Reinstall this time. The "installed" version is just a stock YouTube app with no traces of Vanced. If I click Reinstall it again spins forever with no indication of progress or error (and YouTube Vanced is never installed).
