I made a version of this, you can now select spawn locations.

CitiesOfEarth seems to do a bunch of stuff for multiplayer too, I haven't figured out yet what it all is, and decided to keep that out of my implementation for now so the code is cleaner. Might add that later if a lot of people need it. Otherwise I'll leave that for another mod to extend this one.
