Not sure why there's all that newline nonsense, you're more than welcome to remove it, but the code functions the same with or without it. Just thought this addition might do nicely.

Its more of a quick and dirty script, going to refactor it over the weekend to tidy it up and add some command line instructions.

Your addition looks good to me, so i'll merge it, thanks for the contribution!
