I figure since I use this all the time on every toon I wouldnt be a bitcher or complain I would report the bugs and do what I can to help. There are some pretty harsh coments on the forums from people and I feel that you are doing an amazing job and I thank you

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

This is the error I get when I load in on a fresh game. Also I no longer have access to any macros including HP and SAM

TimothyLuke commented 7 years ago

Hi Garlock

This is an issue that I have been unable to replicate. Does a /gs resetoptions resolve this?

Thanks Garlock for that

What class did you get this on first?

The info above tells me that an event that is supposed To be happening is happening but it's getting the wrong information. Why I am asking is I need to be able to create the problem so I can trace it and fix it. So far all I have is:

I do that and I don't get the problem you are experiencing.

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

I am on my Druid at the moment.... I was updating the macros...or rather I intended to and I got this error and I got it working once and none of the macros were there. as I attempted to go back into the options the error appeared again

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

I reinstalled and received the error again but this time the macros were visable. I attempted to use one and placed it in my bar and it didnt work. I reloaded GSSE and pressed the options button and the error popped up and the options window did not open. The error I received when I pressed the options button: Message: Interface\AddOns\GSE\API\GUIFunctions.lua:142: GSE isn't registed with AceConfigRegistry, unable to open config Time: 01/16/17 11:19:30 Count: 4 Stack: (tail call): ?

Can you try this pleae:

curious what it returns

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

Nothing in a LUA error box but in the general chat box quite a bit... not sure how I would copy and paste it here.... I then attempted to go into the options menu and got this:

Heres your problem -

Message: Interface\AddOns\GS-myMacros\Macros\DeathKnight.lua:7: unexpected symbol near 'ॊTime: 01/16/17 11:43:48

TimothyLuke commented 7 years ago

Either fix that or disable the GS-Core adaptor and your problem will disappear

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

How would I fix it? Its an error that I have had (and ignored) for a month or so

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

Correction.... I have deleteted all macros in that folder. The error no longer persists and I tried to topen the options again and I got 4 errors this time

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

I will exit completely out of game and reload

TimothyLuke commented 7 years ago

random long shot - do you run DBM?

Two things to try - first disable DBM. I run DBM but one other person has said it conflicted with them.

The second is to copy your GSE.lua file to the desktop and delete the version in WTF\Account\AccountName\SavedVariables The problem with myMacros may have corrupted that file.

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

There is nothing in that folder...

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

One sec...found it

TimothyLuke commented 7 years ago

need to replace AccountName with your wow accountname eg for me its draikon

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

Reloading

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

Ok... followed your directions... I also completely disabled DBM reloaded and same errors

Garlock1 commented 7 years ago

Also (might as well mention it as I am about to leave for work) I have the macros (they appeared) but none work.... I am also unable to see the SAM Macros at all.

Thanks for your help on this and I appreciate your time. More people need to appreciate the hard work you have put in for this...and it is BS that it is as thankless as it is... I appreciate all you have done.

it that works hit the Load Samples button see if you can use on of those.

Had problems similar to this I got rid of them by dumping saved variables and macro txt. That caused me to lose all my macros gse and all others. In my case not a big problem.

The result....everything is good to go.... Thank you so much for your help and suggestions.... You are amazing.
