Project: As a multinational computer technology company that specialises in database software and cloud engineered systems, we want to utilise the Impact Engine Framework(IEF) to analyse the Software Carbon Intensity (SCI) of our servers which are used for cloud services and for storing data. Our goal is to utilise the IEF and to use the advice it generates to reduce carbon emissions of those servers. We want it to provide us with various different recommendations to advice to reduce carbon emissions. Ideally, it would also save costs through reducing energy consumption. In addition, we want the IEF to be flexible and is able to produce the best suggestion depends on different situations such as time and locations of our servers.
