Pushed!!!!!!!!
Some of the time intervals listed as not in macrostrat are in macrostrat; e.g., Westphalian: https://macrostrat.org/api/defs/intervals?name=Westphalian Namurian: https://macrostrat.org/api/defs/intervals?name=Namurian etc.
@cambro - what would you like me to do with this?

Caught a minor error when I was looking at this in macrostrat. Where comments section reads "In part, under alluvial clay [in den Alps with Pleistocene terraces and talus]" "den" should be replaced with "the"

Estimated scale: small
Number of bedrock polygons: 22,749
Lithology field: petrograph, lithology
Time field: stratigrap, age
Stratigraphy name field: name, name_eng
Description field:
Comments field: genese, genesis bemerkunge, comments
Comments:
1) I included the original lines file in the folder (titled GermanyLines), which includes a translation type column that I added. Final lines shapefile is titled Lines.
2) I added translation columns to the geology attribute table: The comments column is the bemerkunge column translated. age column is stratigrap column translated. lithology column is petrograph column translated. genesis is genese column translated.
3) The columns bemerkunge1 and stratigrap1 are the original data (unedited) bemerkunge2 and stratigrap2 are versions I edited.
Characters with umlauts were missing from the shapefile data. I filled in bemerkunge2 and stratigrap2 with what seem to be the correct missing characters (based on a little digging in google).
Some unit names appeared in the bemerkunge1 and/or stratigrap1 column. There was no original column for unit names. Where appropriate, I shifted names (from stratigrap1 and bemerkunge1) to a name and name_eng column that I created.
4) These are the following time constraints I used for german time intervals that weren't macrostrat interval options:
For Rotliegend: Late Carboniferous - Guadalupian For Dinantian: Tournaisian - Visean For Namurian: Serpukhovian - Bashkirian For Stephanian: Gzhelian For Westphalian: Bashkirian - Kasimovian For Zechstein: Lopingian For Keuper: Ladinian - Late Triassic For Buntsandstein: Late Permian - Anisian For Muschelkalk: Anisian - Ladinian
