Summary(WIP)

• Person with a stolen item is trying to register it on the registry

  1. If the true owner captured key details(Which details?), then they may DISPUTE(function).

• Person with a stolen item is trying to sell or trade an item not listed on the registry

  • Craigslist
    1. The buyer should check the registry to see if that item has been listed as stolen. The buyer should also capture details about the individual
  • Others(Ebay, Reverb.com, etc….)
    1. Make sure there is a return policy. The buyer should check the registry to see if that item has been listed as stolen.

• Legitimate User sells to a person who is a scammer.....

• Be aware of deals that are too good to be true.......

Motivation

We need to have security measures to avoid any fraud related to the MICR.
