@Fuckyouvalve yea i know but the problem is when we use smoothmouse
thats why im talking about it
@Lokiiii Ah I see, just giving an example in order to show what we are talking about. What should we do, delete smooth-mouse and create a completely different sensitivity based on mac acceleration?
So I just tried this bug on css, and it does not make a difference whatsoever. But on cod4 it does the exact same thing. Maybe @Lokiiii is right, that it is just a bug with mac users enabling smoothmouse...
The update that was just released enables raw mouse input on OSX. If you want to use SmoothMouse with CS:GO enable raw mouse input and it will work.
@davidw-valve does the fix also address #31?
@Tele42 yes it does. I have closed that now, thank you.
@davidw-valve
@davidw-valve then the update which you told will update today?
@yuk7392 It has already been updated.
YESS
Hasn't been fixed for me
Thank all of you so much for the solution. Finally I can play competitive without doing 720's every second. :100:
Hi, this still isnt working for me, I am using smooth mouse and wrote the enable raw input command, why am i still getting the weird spinning happening?
It has been fixed on my end. Thank you so much!
@davidw-valve The mouse works like a dream for me now. Yet I'm still having issues with the random fps drops while shooting, I have turned all my graphics options down and the resolution typed in certain commands and start up commands in properties too yet nothing seems to help, are you working on a fix for this too? if so could you link me to the thread so I can keep up with it. Thanks :)
@NikoCSGO try finding your video.txt and set "setting.mem_level"
to diffirent values like -1, 0, 1 or 2. If this does affect your fps then please reply and start a new issue or find one acordingly.
@ovdeathiam I'll try it but what specific value should I change it to?
@NikoCSGO try all of the 4 i mentioned, especially -1 and 2.
There was a new update earlier.
@ovdeathiam I did, nothing changed still fps drops when shooting
SOLUTION
It seems raw input can now be turned on for macs, try the command raw input 1, it works fine for me now with no acceleration glitch
@davidw-valve THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is not fixed for smoothmouse users who do not use raw input
@dotZoki all smoothmouse users have to use raw input with this fix.
@shripadk That is not much of a fix for me, because mouse doesn't feel same with raw as before when using only smoothmouse.
@dotZoki I don't feel any change with raw input on and how it was before.
Temporary solution with help of an old script I have. First: disable your smoothmouse. Second: restart your mac. Third: download and run the Kill Mouse Accel.app. Note that its not precisely the same feeling as smoothmouse but it is close and I have played a lot with this setting (so it is doable). Kill Mouse Accel.app.zip
@juwul that app has been saving my ass all these times, if you can add a button that will re-enable the acceleration back to normal I will love you with all my heart.
@hendraanggrian I haven't used that script for a long time and I was not the author of it, I just found it many years ago and it worked :) But in recent years I have used SteerMouse which I think is more advanced and maybe have the option you are looking for. It cost some bucks but I think it is worth.
Hi Guys, this worked for me: I tried turning it off using it terminal and it fixed the drag issue and the acceleration in CSGO. Below are the steps I took:
Cheers.
I downloaded the newest patch today and when i start shooting or jumping the sensitivity of the mouse gets higher. When you stop shooting or jumping the sensitivity gets back to normal. It also happens when you switch weapons. I am also playing on a second monitor.
