Johnny Lau (t1q8u)

  1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)? I joined my group in our brainstorming of the main project idea, along with discussing the viability of the requirements. I mostly spent my time working on the prototype on Google Sheets.

  2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into? My lack of experience in the field meant that while I had ideas for what to do, I was unsure about how viable and realistic it would be to implement these ideas into our project.

  3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? Working on the Front-end structure and styling.

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)? In the past iteration, I had an idea that I shared with my teammates, and together we brainstormed and ironed out the details to make it fit the project requirements.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into? I think it was challenging to come up with an idea that we could do in due time that used a MERN stack.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? I'm planning to work on the 'feed' component of our app using react.

  1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)? I helped brainstorm project ideas and features to implement on the website.
  2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into? I'm unfamiliar with full-stack development and was unsure how feasible our ideas are.
  3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? I plan to work on implementing a Google sign-in feature. Having the user log into their account is one of our minimal requirements.

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)? I helped with the brainstorming of the ideas, and providing feedback. Also worked together with the team on the project's progress

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into? I have never done a big full-stack project before and was very unfamiliar with the MERN stack, this resulted in me having difficulty thinking of feasible project ideas.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? I will work on the availability schedule component for the minimal requirement.

  1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)? I helped my group brainstorm ideas for the project and break down the ideas into minimum, standard, and stretch requirements.
  2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into? I (along with my team) had trouble deciding which website feature to categorize as Standard vs Stretch requirements due to our lack of experience as to how difficult it would be to implement either one of them.
  3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? I plan to work on implementing the ability for users to add friends to their accounts (friends are users that will see the primary user's availability schedule).
