Closing the Friends drop-down list of smart tile dialog causes active window to change

Clicking anywhere outside of the drop-down list or clicking the drop-down arrow does nothing on first attempt, and then switches the active window on second attempt, i.e. if any other window application is running, that window becomes active instead of MLLE. Pressing enter or escape instead works as expected and does not exhibit this unusual behavior.

There actually seem to be a lot of dialog boxes that briefly fade MLLE out of existence when closed, such as the smart tile dialog itself, level properties, and set level password - for a split second on closing all of those show another open application before returning to MLLE - but not help strings, find parameter values, or layer properties.

I suspect but am not positive that the program briefly vanishing is a separate issue, because the Friends dropdown list is a custom control I found on the internet and may have some oddities.
