Hello, i have two msi gaming rx 480 8GB running in crossfire mode, the fps drops to half and back again to max while the msi led tool is working, if i close msi led tool and run the game or test again, the fps keeps in max value. Runing on Windows 10 x64 and crimson 16.11.1

How often does this happen?

fabiozanardi7 commented 7 years ago

Every time, for instance, i'm running GTA 5, the frame go to 60 fps and drops to 34 constantly, with ungine heaven and valley i got the same problem, fps drop and up every second.

Would it require a lot of effort for you to check what happens with a single GPU? I don't have a MSI card to test the tool myself, let alone two of them to test SLI/Crossfire so if you don't mind I could really use your help to solve this issue :).

fabiozanardi7 commented 7 years ago

Off course, i'm going home in 2 hours, i will disconect one of the cards and test again, then i will reconnect it and test more one time.

fabiozanardi7 commented 7 years ago

Hello, i did the test and with only one rx 480 i got the same problem, the fps drops and up again all play or test time, i dont beleave its a crossfire problem, but something with rx msi gaming 480 8gb

i think my issue is the same of closed "This tool causes stuttering! WTF? #2", but i'm not using wattman, i have a motherboard msi z97m gaming, processor core i5 4430 and 16gb (2x8gb) corsair vengeance runing @1600mhz xmp enabled, no overclock, vga in gaming mode.

fabiozanardi7 commented 7 years ago

i think you can close my issue and correct it on #2 , thanks a lot

same thing with my rx 470 http://imgur.com/a/5E6rh

Same issue for me too with MSI RX 470 Gaming X 4GB card.

I was stable at 60 FPS playing witcher. With the tool I was hopping between 40 to 20. An average of 21 FPS.

Disabling the tool brought FPS back to 60.
