[Bug]: Pehkui + Gregtech = Renderer Crash #535

What went wrong? (Crash logs don't go here)

Expectation: The game loads normally with Pekhui and Gregtech Modern installed.

Reality: The game crashes during startup with net.minecraft.ReportedException: Rendering overlay when GT Modern is installed alongside Pekhui. Disabling Pekhui or Gregtech allows the game to load normally.

Can you try disabling LDLib and provide a new log once that crashes?

i can't do that, it's an embedded library (as in, inside the META-INF) within Gregtech

Ah. Well something odd is going on with LDLib. I'm not sure what part of Pehkui would be causing this. If you can figure out a minimum set of mods that causes this crash I'd be able to investigate this more thoroughly.

okay for some reason, disabling one or more of ANY of the mods (except Alex's Caves and any mods that depend on it, because doing that causes Werewolves to have a stroke for some other reason) that are listed as using the GameRendererMixin in the render thread stacktrace (line 66 in the crash log) allows the game to load fine

and i dont know why

Very strange indeed. Guess it's not technically a Pehkui issue then.

Hmm, what happens if you disable MixinSquared?

again, mixinsquared is an embedded library and not a mod by itself

Seeing as this is likely some weird multi-mod interaction that can also be fixed by disabling various mods other than Pehkui, I'll be closing this issue for now.

Only thing left I can think of is to try different versions of NeoForge, as I see your version isn't the latest. Try out newer and older versions like 47.1.106 or 47.1.97 I guess.

Might also be able to get more eyes on the problem if you ask in the NeoForge Discord's user-support channel.
