huckhuck55: For a new role. Role tbd vulnerable While vulnerable, if visited by anyone, you will die. Also, the person that visits will appear by all relevant checks to have attacked.

huckhuck55: i was thinking maybe fairy could be the name, (read a bunch of lore for fairies lmao) but they sometimes will cause death in people with curses, curse being if contacted by someone within 24 hours, they will die.

huckhuck55: well, it would be in their interest to align with someone so that they can get people to visit the person they cursed. (fairy aligns with town say.... asks town, who is a threat to them... town says babi, "fairy" puts vulnerable on bab, then idk, ft goes and checks them, person dies)

huckhuck55: or likewise with the wolves. work with them then use one of the wolves visiting roles to commit a murder.

huckhuck55: those are just play options though, they could also just stay in the shadows randomly making people vulnerable. its only kingmaking (imo) if they make themselves the king maker... the ability would be middle ground to side with whoever and if enough deaths happen, they would ascend. so if they needed to get 3 people, they would be out of the game before too much damage was done.... maybe?

huckhuck55: im just thinking, might be good to have the role (if UA) be no specific sided. so they could go anywhere with it if wanting to align, or have the option to not align and just hope people get visited.

huckhuck55: all that being said though.... might be a boring role if all their doing is choosing people they hope get visited. might need some more flair if it was going to be fun to play.

Ts: it would have potential to random kill somebody and then join their team afterwards to figure out the enemies of that team

huckhuck55: yeah, would work well with town and wolf. solos though would be for sure fighting against them.

would there be something to add to make the solos more equal?

i think where the interest would come in would be the fact that they are trying to find each alignment, then side with them temporarily to get their goal. so everyone may use them for a bit, but still consider them a threat. the social game would prolly be the bigger part of that mechanic. also, when siding with a team for their goal, they could give the team they are siding with info based on visits.

huckhuck55: yeah, thats the big part that needs work. would they maybe only want to have kills from the bigger teams? or does that make them full solo sided?

huckhuck55: ya know. that said, finding solo should be hard, so even if it is a solo sided role, A- they wouldnt want to announce their role cuz they are actively trying to kill someone from both teams B- the solo team of course wont be obvious.

huckhuck55: 2 from each team (town and wolves) would guarentee they are around long enough to make an actual impact to the game (if theyre not killed of course)

huckhuck55: Okay so, I think I agree further that this effect would serve best as an addition to a team. Not the sole mechanic of a team. A- a new wolf role B- add to a solo team C- not a great UA role D- very bad addition for town.

huckhuck55: Summary.

Vulnerable effect would be a power the role has. Choose a player to give the vulnerable effect to. If that player is visited in by another player, the vulnerable player dies. It would also appear as if the player that visited them was the one who killed them.

huckhuck55: also, if it was plague. would it make it too weak if it were a prerequisite to be plagued in order to make them vulnerable? (i think so, but worth asking)

huckhuck55: only because, plague is already quite a nuisance, giving them more power may just be game breaking.... but i also dont know. like, if PB dies early, the vulnerable making person could keep plague things moving around. so i could argue that side too

Ts: plague team doesnt know whos plagued, so that would be a pretty annoying nerf

Ts: name is a difficult question, cause the normal format for plague team is Plague ... but arguably this is not directly related to the plague

huckhuck55: I think due to plague team already killing with plague, having them get another kill member based on visits might make them OP. However, if it was to sub out the PB with a different role+vulnerable effect. That could be good? What do you think?

Yeah, I think that’s more fair then having plague infect everyone but also have someone that gets people killed by being visited. I think it would make them too strong.

huckhuck55: Oh yeah, that could work. But also, would the person just say, don’t visit me, I killed x, Could also open up for new strats…. Could be interesting.
