mctsts: i mean based on the fact that I was 1p, I was in fact also only 1 unconverted person
captainluffy: What game was this, I don't remember
mctsts: s2g8
captainluffy: But basically, what I don't like is a full team of like 4 or 5 people
captainluffy: Doing this
mctsts: what do you think they should do instead then?
captainluffy: If vamp has voting majority by then, sure. But if they don't then it's still possible to win
mctsts: my suggestion has "its impossible to win" as a requirement
captainluffy: In this specific game I don't think it was impossible yet
mctsts: then I suppose alliance in this game would not have been allowed under my suggestion
mctsts: i did not verify if this game falls under my terms, nor did I write them to cover this game
captainluffy: If Ur suggestion doesn't include stuff like that then
captainluffy: Yeah it's fine with me
mctsts: I have two cases: • The entire team is still alive, but cannot win. However they can all change to a different alignment and win that way. • Neither winning, nor killing enemies is possible, but all remaining players of the team can change to a different alignment and win that way.
mctsts:
captainluffy: As long as they don't switch while it's still winnable
captainluffy: Then it's no issue ig
captainluffy: Or rather, while vamp team can still lose
mctsts: if there's a team that has no hopes of winning they have three options from what I can tell
mctsts: • kingmake • go inactive • betray their alignment to win
captainluffy: I mean if there's 3 teams left. Let's say town vamp and wolf. Town with wolf can outvote vamp still. Then wolf should be able to win still
mctsts: if wolves can work with town to beat vamps, but then themselves can beat town afterwards, they can win
captainluffy: Yeah, in this game I believe that was possible but they worked with vamp anyways
mctsts: i told the hosts, I consider alliance to be valid if a team cannot win
captainluffy: Those situations is what I'd not like to exist
mctsts: i didnt watch the game closely enough to judge if this was the case or not
e_thsn: wolves couldn't win imo since everyone was demonised when they allianced
captainluffy: Yeah but they could win through lynch
e_thsn: they didn't have enough votes
captainluffy: Or kill vamps which can't be demonized
e_thsn:
Or kill vamps which can't be demonized
they didn't know every vamp
captainluffy: They could figure it out if they tried
e_thsn: wolves had lost if they tried to go against vamps
e_thsn: that's why they had to ally
captainluffy: Anyways yeah that's my argument
shapechange:
If vamp has voting majority by then, sure. But if they don't then it's still possible to win
the thing was we did actually have voting majority
captainluffy: At a certain point yes, but not the entire time
shapechange: well yeah
shapechange: nobody has voting majority the entire time
captainluffy: I mean after Fed was lynched was the time to turn against vamps
shapechange: but they couldnt have
shapechange: they only knew one undead team member
shapechange: listen, the points of the game aren't important
captainluffy: Town knew them all. But yeah I don't really wanna argue this
shapechange: realistically, this is an exceptionally rare occurrence, and one that generally weakly improves the game for all teams when it's applied
shapechange:
Town knew them all. But yeah I don't really wanna argue this
(also not true, but okay)
shapechange: it's like a QOL update really
☠ Nick ☠: Bro this is a Grinch copy
shapechange: what
shapechange: this is not even a role
mctsts: i think it would make sense to allow these cases of alliance: • a win is not achievable, but the entire team could join another alignment • a win is not achievable, nor is killing further enemies, but the remaining team could join another alignment
Both of these are basically just going for the best rating for everyone in the team, which is supposed to be how you should play
