nottinghamshire: i relate tothis so hard
nottinghamshire: because in one game i was genuinely thinking of warding myself or i think invinci?
nottinghamshire: but i didnt because i didnt want to fall behind as pyro
nottinghamshire: so i powdered someone
nottinghamshire: but died to rng
mctsts: in this case the powdering would still only happens if you ward a non-pyro member
mctsts: as you'd be powdering whoever you warded
nottinghamshire: oh so its not if you ward yourself and getattacked?
mctsts: if you ward yourself and get attacked you ignite and attack the attacker same as before
mctsts: the change is that if you ward somebody else and the warding does nothing, they instead get powdered
nottinghamshire: wait thats a thing
nottinghamshire: damn
e_thsn: I think it shouldn't protect from pyro team attacks too
e_thsn: Then you can ward mayor to get a free attack
mctsts:
Then you can ward mayor to get a free attack
you already do - the attacker
e_thsn:
Suggestion: When the Firebug wards, and the ward ends up no being used, instead the player is powdered at the end of the night.
Reason: The warding is not getting used as the risk of nothing happening is too big, with there being a guaranteed powder, it becomes a much more usable option.

Actually I just realised this doesn't solve the issue, you don't want to protect the player wolves are killing for the ignite since they're also your enemy
And the reason warding doesn't get used is because you have no reason to protect Pyromancers if they're good at staying out of trouble and a Pyromancer being powdered doesn't make sense
The main issue basically is
Wards = protection so we'd use it on our team then, but as a solo you aren't supposed to be in a position where you're attacked so the protection is useless
Predicting who the wolves will attack doesn't help because you're basically protecting enemies from attack E.g you want mayor to be dead so town won't get reporter and expose your claim

But the entire point of warding it too strategically defend players so it ends up being an advantage for you
mctsts: a successful warding will not only ignite but basically also powder the attacker
mctsts: so you do want to do it
e_thsn: players just don't see it that way <:pffffft:705639986384601110>
e_thsn: unless we remove powdering from the firebug in this case
mctsts: yeah that can be done
mctsts: since the updated warding powders anyway
e_thsn: that works then ig

Passes
e_thsn:
Each night, the Firebug may either ward one player.
mctsts: fixed
mctsts: (you could've done it too)
e_thsn: I was just about to
e_thsn: but it wouldn't let me cause you edited it too <:pffffft:705639986384601110>
mctsts: <:pffffft:705639986384601110>
