Rough Role Idea could we make it an active ability that if it can target one of the investigative roles and it can see their action that night if one exists

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.:

Maybe we should consider having it be for the action of that role used during the current day or the following night

would we retroactively give info for coroner + CF + AF?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: also I did day after for medium result

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: cause it's question then answer in two phases

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: is flute charmer listed as an invest role?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.:

❗ Could not find role baroness roles. Did you mean custom packless werewolves (aka Packless Wolves)?

the role isn't written yet who did this?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: i mean its category is sp

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: it's a power role then

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: cuz si or uai doesnt exist

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: Yeah PH, PP and FPC are all Invest but have no category

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: also how does targetting work lol, does it only trigger if it succeeds

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: i mean it says it cant target the same role twice in a row

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.:

i do kind of agree with luffy though in that right now there are too many extra cases, which clutters and confuses things. if we rip out the roles i suggested (and maybe turn FC into a SI?) then we're left with all invests plus two or three extra cases, which turns out a lot neater

<@242983689921888256> what do you think? We'd keep medium (Tanner and Herald or Recluse maybe) as our extra cases and FPC, PP and PH would all be classed as investigative roles

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.:

also how does targetting work lol, does it only trigger if it succeeds

what?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: ???

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: i mean the action type targetting usually last forever until you change it

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: it's not targeting or visiting

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: but targeting is the best description

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: but the word choice is targetting

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: and targetting is an ability type

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: which has its own innate rules

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: Is there a list of targeting roles

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: nope

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: but off the top of my head, its herald, journalist, huntress, ranger, reaper

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: exe, angel

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: errr

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: assistant

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: anyways, if you want to use targetting terminology. you can say that they are untargetted after 2 phases

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: I mean it's not really a target

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: it's more similar to df

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: yes it is. you passively learn their info while they are a target

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: targets have an emergency update tho

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: thats only when its immediate

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: you get unlimited updates if its end phase

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: all targeting is immediate

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy:

Targeting is generally immediate

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: exceptions are allowed

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: and Ts suggested changing it to immediate

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts:

mistakenly

wrong

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts: angel was included in AT

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts: I introduced categories into the role book so it could be simplified to "killing" roles (taking out angel and chef)

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts: this was then misinterpreted to still include angel

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

shapechange: huh

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts: AT just used to be "all roles that can kill" which was not great

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts:

Baroness | Werewolf Investigative Basics During the night the Baroness can learn the information received by a selected role. Details During the day the Baroness can choose any investigative role or any role that receives information (these roles and their interactions can be found in $i Baroness Roles), targeting is an end day action. The following night and day they will learn the players or roles targeted by any player with the selected role as well as any information that player received. The Baroness cannot target the same role twice in a row. The Baroness is not a lycan, nor are they a member of the wolfpack.

Simplified The Baroness can target a role during the day and learn any information that a player with that role would learn the following phases The Baroness is not a lycan, nor are they a member of the wolfpack.

Baroness Special Roles The Baroness can learn information from roles that don't fall within the Investigative category and therefore a specific list is required to know the roles that can be selected Medium - Learns the Question asked and the result of the poll for that Question Tanner - Learns targets and if one was a Wolfpack member Devil - if wager is used to investigate learns the result and target of that as well as the true identity of the wager recipient Reaper - if they use a check they learn the result of that Recluse - learns the effects that target recluse and the identity of any wolfpack member that targets the recluse that night Herald - Learns if the last role that is the Herald's target dies and what role was targeted

missing Prophetic Hag

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: well anyways, if you dont want it to be a targetting ability, (which u can still make it if u change it slightly), id say change the term to 'selected'

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts:

<@242983689921888256> what do you think? We'd keep medium (Tanner and Herald or Recluse maybe) as our extra cases and FPC, PP and PH would all be classed as investigative roles

so introduce new SI and UAI cats?

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ts: why not

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Ethan.: ig

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

Captain Luffy: but heres the thing, K > I, and some sk roles have I abilities

CrowdfordBot commented 1 year ago

shapechange: not sure what your point is here
