The8thSoul: This channel might just be a discussion channel about abilities and whether they are too weak/strong
The8thSoul:
What if there was a team that could have the ability to disguise players and the objective is to get disguised players killed? Would it be too weak?
Also, this is incredibly vague, but what I meant is you would need to disguise players as your team, get them voted or killed by wws, and gain abilities each time you are successful
The8thSoul: Maybe strong disguises each time
The8thSoul:

(Also voted = lynched by Town)
The8thSoul: Another idea could be a team that steals/borrows abilities from other players/dead players
The8thSoul: (Or just alternatively using a dead body to attack a player of their choice)
The8thSoul: And then maybe the body rots and no longer can be used
The8thSoul: Okay so far there are two solo team ideas (which is incredibly likely too weak):
The8thSoul: Also, I'm almost certain there are rarely/barely any "Absolute Solo" roles
The8thSoul: The only one I can think of is WWW
The8thSoul: What I mean by this is that they work alone and win alone

This is arguably what Psychopath does.

This is Reaper/Nightmare team. In the current iteration Reaper doesnt use the exact powers of the dead players anymore because it was horrible to manage.
The8thSoul: Also, I'm almost certain there are rarely/barely any "Absolute Solo" roles
Most of the Solo teams we started out as that, and are generally still designed so that they can work alone. We've just found that it's generally more fun to be on a team with another player as being solo is already pretty tough, so its nice to have somebody to talk to
The8thSoul: The only one I can think of is WWW
We got rid of the "solo solo" category and only do solos with teams now. The WWW's team is the White Wolves. There just aren't any other roles in the team.
shapechange: also, the "disguising people to get them killed/stop people killing you" is literally just what horseman of famine does
shapechange: it's just psychofamine
The8thSoul:

Ah ok
Captain Luffy: There's nothing wrong with having things in common with some combination other solos, (like you could say shepherd is plague combined with flute) as long is it is executed well and is unique enough. Though I think this idea needs a lot more developing before it can reach that stage
shapechange: there is a different between having things in common and having the literal actual exact same powers, luffy
Ts: Shepherd is not a good example, it has never been used in a season game I believe
Ts: actually that makes me curious how often each team has been used
Captain Luffy: I moreso meant that it's not horrible to have a common ability as long as there's significantly more things on top of it. Of course the reaper example there is way too similar
Ts: here it is
Ts: Hell is unsurprisingly the most used solo and flute is second (on wwr). WWW places surprisingly low
shapechange: probably because www requires fairly large games to really have an impact on them
Ethan.: Wait
Ethan.: Did plague not get used last season
Ethan.: Huh
Ethan.:
here it is
Oh it was on season not off season
Ethan.: Sorry for the ping Ts
Ethan.: Forgot to switch the reply slider
The8thSoul: Was Heaven a team that got replaced by Hell?
Ts: no, for the very first game on this server (s0g0) we had A LOT of people signup so we created a copy of Hell (Heaven) and Underworld (Graveyard) so we would have more solo teams, as we were doing a all solo/wolf game
Captain Luffy: heaven was a second hell team, just different alignment
Captain Luffy: instead of devil it had archangel
Ts: it was Archangel (Devil) + Saint (Demon, but Demon was what Imp is now back then)
The8thSoul: Did they both still wager souls though? Or was one wagering souls while the other "blessed" souls?
Ts: I think heaven collected prayers
The8thSoul: (It's irrelevant but I wanted to know if there was different wording lmao)
Ts: unsure what their wager was called but it was something different too
Ts: I believe soulless became blessed
The8thSoul: Ah ok
Captain Luffy: yeah i definitely remember bless was part of it
The8thSoul: Wait... so was it possible to be both soulless and blessed?
Ts: yes
The8thSoul: Or did they kinda "block" each other
The8thSoul: ah ok
Ts: Archangel | Solo - Heaven Basics Each day, the A. may choose a player to send the a.’s grace to. The target may choose to either learn another player’s role, or kill another player but become blessed in the process, this gives the A. a prayer. The A. has a variety of uses for prayers. When everyone is dead or blessed the A. wins. Details The grace is sent at the end of the day. The A. can communicate with the target & will be notified of the result of the grace - he will learn who was killed/which person was inspected & what role the target saw If the player chooses to see another player’s role (immediate), it will work exactly like the fortune teller powers; Enchanted, disguises (such as Tanner) and WWW showing up as WW still apply. These effects are seen from the player’s perspective, not the A.’s; the FP powers apply if the chosen player is enchanted, not when the A. is enchanted. At the start of the game the A. may choose a role that players that attempt to learn the A.’s role using the grace will learn. If the player chooses to kill another player (prayer given: immediately; kill executed: end night), then they will become blessed. All normal rules like the end condition and your team still apply, but the A. can't target blessed players. The person the target chooses to kill, dies at the end of the night, though normal effects like the scared wolf and being demonized still applies. For roles such as macho, it is relevant that the actual kill is performed by the A.. An exception is that killing the A. always fails. The A. can use a prayer to protect someone else from all attacks for one night (select person before the night begins) or kill a player of their liking (both day and night time; immediate). If the A. is attacked at night and they have spare prayers, they will be protected and a prayer will be used up automatically. The A. starts the game off with a single prayer that they can use whenever.
