After trying DWS's "Enable Windows Update", "Remove all old DWS firewall rules" and enabling all services that received "Disabled" Startup Type, the Mic. Store including Language Pack -s downloading are still broken .

i do not mind against this, but its needed to have a way to restore this function in case of need .

You should manually clean-up the "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" from any entries are mentioning Microsoft Store related URLs. Also others too. The "etc/hosts" file is used as a "second firewall" that helps to block by domain name while a regular firewall can block IP addresses only. The "etc/hosts" is also reason why "Is Iternet available" and Skype won't work. There are few domains you should remove to revive these features back.

Have we had any luck getting the MS Store to work? I looked at my HOSTS file and there are a ton of filenames none that come up under a search for store. I am not technical at all so am wondering if I can just comment out everything in the host file? I cant even figure out how to unread only the host file to save my edits. I am desperate to get the store working and have spent the last two days trying everything I could think of to get it working with little progress. Any advice or options t try would be appreciated.

Thank you!

For people who have problems with microsoft store after using the dws, here I bring you the solution, just enter the following address:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

1- copy the host file 2- paste it for example in the desktop 3- edit the host file, delete the following rules and save:

0.0.0.0 pti.store.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 store-images.s-microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 storeedgefd.dsx.mp.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 wscont.apps.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 storecatalogrevocation.storequality.microsoft.com

4- copy the host file from the desktop and replace the original from the path:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

and enjoy Microsoft Store :)

Para las personas que tienen problemas con microsoft store despues de haber utilizado el dws, aqui les traigo la solucion, solo deben entrar en la siguente direccion:

0.0.0.0 pti.store.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 store-images.s-microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 storeedgefd.dsx.mp.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 wscont.apps.microsoft.com 0.0.0.0 storecatalogrevocation.storequality.microsoft.com

4- copiar el archivo de host del escritorio y reemplazar el original de la ruta:
