Will this work on Mac OS docker desktop? How would performance be on Mac? #98

How about just give it a try to find it out? And why do you want to know that? Who will run a system, what needs to be performant, on a Mac desktop for providing services?

It will work, as Docker Desktop virtualizes a Linux environment to run Linux OCI containers. A performance penalty has to be expected due to the nature of virtualization, I'm not sure how it's been optimized on macOS (I've heard they've improved it a lot regarding filesystem performance). That's all I can say.
