说说开发模式，现在大部分团队都用敏捷开发，scrum那一套，但是很多客户都不直接参与，变成程序员们在自high。每个开发人员都要求有开发测试部署运维等技能，所以全栈工程师在这里还是比较有优势的。很多项目技术难度非常低，都是可以找到参考的。反而和客户讨价还价，理清需求，各种会议会占用大量时间。不过能积累很多银行业务的知识。基本没有加班的情况，偶尔加班的话也可以选择补假或者补钱，职级4没有加班费。运维的话大部分团队会采用轮流制，工作强度视乎系统，补偿较少。

To start easy, we consider the simplest form of a Segment Tree. We want to answer sum queries efficiently. The formal definition of our task is: Given an array $a[0 \dots n-1]$, the Segment Tree must be able to find the sum of elements between the indices $l$ and $r$ (i.e. computing the sum $\sum_{i={l}}^{r} a[i]$), and also handle changing values of the elements in the array (i.e. perform assignments of the form $a[i] = x$). The Segment Tree should be able to process both queries in $O(\log n)$ time.
This is an improvement over the simpler approaches. A naive array implementation - just using a simple array - can update elements in $O(1)$, but requires $O(n)$ to compute each sum query. And precomputed prefix sums can compute sum queries in $O(1)$, but updating an array element requires $O(n)$ changes to the prefix sums.

This got me thinking about the different ways that user researchers in particular need to take care of themselves in their work.
What we’re doing for our users We spent quite a lot time looking at alternative metrics to show the effectiveness of services. The ‘user satisfaction’ metric that is currently reported on the Performance Platform has several issues.
As an alternative, we explored the idea of value and unnecessary demand based on the concept of failure demand. This is defined by occupational psychologist John Seddon as ‘demand caused by a failure to do something or do something right for the customer'. We worked with service teams to look at ways we could express failure demand. We found that this was very challenging - as we’ll explain later in this blog post.
We also looked at different ways of defining when and how transactions are completed, because this could be a useful indicator for the quality of services. After testing with our users, we settled on three metrics to show the effectiveness of services:

改进内存分配算法或许可以减轻内存碎片的危害，但即使是在此方面做了相当多努力的 jemalloc ，其表现也大大低于一般用户的预期。以我的经验，一个 16G 的内存堆，对于长期运行，需要大量反复分配释放内存的程序，通常能做到 10G 左右的峰值有效内存占用就不错了。这里说的有效内存使用，指你调用 malloc 传入的字节数之和。根据应用程序使用内存的方式不同，这个数字会有很大的不同。

But the best digital learning experiences draw inspiration from what MIT’s Scot Osterweil calls the Four Freedoms of Play: freedom to experiment, freedom to fail, freedom of identity, and freedom of effort. These freedoms describe the ways we can borrow from the world of games and use play to create engaging learning experiences that stick with you.
- Freedom to experiment means playing with a system, trying out variations, and seeing how a simulation behaves under different conditions. It means tinkering and exploring freely. Experimentation is how breakthroughs are made.
- Freedom to fail means you’re in a safe space. Failing doesn’t mean that you’re doing it wrong, it’s a sign that you’re trying and learning from your mistakes. The freedom to fail is especially important in STEM, where you do have right and wrong answers, but where so many people have been stigmatized by how performance on tests and assignments are graded in school. They come to believe they’re “bad” at science and math, when in fact working through failure states is an important part of how scientists, mathematicians, and engineers make progress in their day-to-day work.
- Freedom of identity means the choice to try on different roles and perspectives. In games of many types, in unstructured play, in improv, taking on different identities from your own helps unlock new ideas and modes of thinking. When learning STEM it could be as fundamental as, “I never thought I was good at this, but seeing it explained this way made it click for me.”
- Freedom of effort means trying as much or as little as you’d like and being able to slide back and forth as you go. You can choose to push until you find the answer on your own, or you can ask for hints or jump straight to the solution. Having this flexibility is an important aspect of play that gives you control over your learning path.

本周话题：生活就像一个鱼缸 国际知名度最高的中国建筑事务所，大概是北京的 MAD 建筑事务所[3]。
他们设计过很多著名的建筑，比如加拿大的梦露大厦、海口云洞图书馆等等，最大特点就是在城市里面创造了一些很奇特的形状。

MAD 创始人之一的马岩松，最近做了一个演讲，介绍他们的创作理念。我看了以后，留下了深刻印象。

最打动我的，是他曾经设计的一个鱼缸[4]。
“事务所刚成立的时候，没有项目可做，有天在大街上溜达，看到一个售卖金鱼的摊位，所有鱼都生活在一个方形的小盒子里面。”
“金鱼在里面，看上去非常迷茫，似乎过得闷闷不乐，有时候还会撞在玻璃壁上。”

他就想到，人在城市中生活的处境，不也像金鱼一样吗，被局限在一个看不见的盒子里面。
那么，作为一个设计师，能不能把鱼缸重新设计一下，让鱼过得快乐一些？
说干就干，他每隔几分钟，就去记录一下鱼的位置，画成散点图（下图）。结果发现，跟大家想的不一样，虽然关在鱼缸里面，鱼并不是什么角落都去，而是高度重复某些路线。

他就根据这些轨迹，设计了一个非常复杂的鱼缸，尽量把简单的空间划分出层次感，一方面保证金鱼的常规路线，另一方面又让金鱼觉得，自己生活在一个复杂空间里面，有很多地方可以去探索和选择。

马岩松说，虽然没有办法知道，金鱼生活在这么一个空间，会不会感到比以前更幸福，但这是建筑师的使命，为人们创造出更多更好的空间，提高生活的满意度。
所以，他们设计的每一个建筑物，都追求趣味和层次，并不是简单的建筑物，而是试图让人们在有限空间里面，体会到更多的空间。
听了这个小故事，我深受触动，第一次意识到，鱼缸是一个很好的比喻，象征当代人的处境。
当代人看上去很自由，但是实际上，（大多数人的）自由很有限，生活中到处都是看不见的高墙，财富、职业、家庭、阶层等等限制了你能去的地方，每个人其实都生活在自己的鱼缸里面。
马岩松的这个作品，恰恰就在探讨解决方案：如果没有办法摆脱鱼缸，能不能在鱼缸里面创造出更多的空间，提高生活的趣味和满意度？
顺着这个思路往下想，面对日常生活中无所不在的高墙，我们可以做些什么，为自己的生活创造出空间和层次感？
我的想法是，可以去一些没有去过的地方，做一些没有做过的事情，读一些以前不读的书，接触一些“同温层”之外的朋友。这样就相当于在生活中搭建出各种奇怪的空间，活得可以更有意思一些，遇到更多的可能。

刚开始尝试搭建自己的博客，就是采用了静态博客的思路，即使用 Markdown 编写博文，然后用一个静态博客生成器将 Markdown 转换成 HTML，之后使用静态文件服务器部署。与之相对应的是 WordPress 的思路，即动态运行一个网站后端，在请求到来时从文件或数据库加载博文，生成 HTML 返回。
而最开始使用的静态博客生成器是 Jekyll 的，是 GitHub Pages 使用的默认静态博客生成器。用 Jekyll 搭建博客的过程，也是不断学习许多新玩意的过程，比如 Git、常用的 Shell 命令、自定义域名等。
