Any plans on supporting multiple languages? Might be a nice touch for this
already very complete client!

And if so: I'd be willing to do the Dutch translation :)

Honor in this context means, to keep a promise. For example, if honors session
limits
is enabled this means that if you set an upload rate limit in the remote
settinghs
which are global, then set a higher one for a specific torrent(s), it will use
the
global one. If it's unchecked, you can override the global limits.

Upload by URL = upload a torrent by providing a URL to the torrent, instead of
browsing and uploading one from your machine.

Ok, I've completed my translation.

I would like to test the new translation before add it to next release in order
to
correct it.

Please specify me too-long-phrase-problems to correct it.

Hi! Here is my Korean translation for Transmission Remote v3.9 :)
Resx is source files for next build, and DLL is for who want to use Korean
translation right now. (extract it into transmission remote folder)

By the way, I can't translate "This torrent has finished downloading" notifying
message on tray. I changed value of TheTorrentHasFinishedDownloading, but still
remain in English. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

Regards.

next
release.

Wow, another translation while I was comitting the Spanish one. Thanks twohertz!
Please confirm it works ok, because all the characters show up as squares for
me but
I guess that's only because my system doesn't know how to display Korean.

For both of you I have credited your usernames on here in the README. If you'd
like
it to be something else let me know.

:)

Good morning...

- I've downloaded new spanish .dll file from

http://code.google.com/p/transmission-remote-dotnet/source/browse/trunk/Transmis
sionClientNew/bin/Release/es-ES/Transmission%20Remote.resources.dll

- I've placed it at a folder es-ES inside Transmission Remote application
folder.

- I've run the app and selected the new languaje; spanish.

- "Your languaje choice has been updated. A restart of the application is
required
for it to take full effect." Then I've closed and reestarted the app, but all
remains
in english...

- I've connected and disconnected the app from transmission-daemon, but remains
in
english.

¿Do I have to restart transmission-daemon?

¿What can I do to test it?

Thanks a lot!

http://transmission-remote-dotnet.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TransmissionClientNew
/bin/Release/es-ES/

This is the right place to download from... using the other link and right
click ->
Save link as... it downloads a 44KB files (instead 40K)... very strange.

I'm testing it, thanks!

Ok, I've detected certain errors... and i've corrected them!

- I've added .ToolTipText to MainWindow because TR shows the message in english
passing the mouse pointer over the icons...

Thanks a lot!

Sorry, this is actually my mistake. I run a script on the .resx's which removes
everything except .Text, .Item<number> etc and forgot about ToolTipText.
Otherwise,
when I make changes to the layout of a form it gets overridden with old
size/location
properties in a translation.

Fixed.

Hi again.

I've downloaded the new .dll from...

http://transmission-remote-dotnet.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TransmissionClientNew
/bin/Release/es-ES/

... and there's no difference between it an the older one.

The attached archive TransmissionClientNew-Spanish-v1.rar contains a modified
version
of the filtered .resx files (downloaded from
http://transmission-remote-dotnet.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TransmissionClientNew
/),
so you don't need to apply your script. To say that i've corrected more things,
not
only .ToolTipText issue, so you should generate a new .dll using my last .resx
files.

Thanks!

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Another question... besides .ToolTipText, .Text and .Item<number>, your should
include .Item to your script; it contains the first item...

Regards.

Hi, I've updated the zh-CN translations.
And could you put this string ("Multiple Torrent Properties") into
OtherStrings.resx
for multiple language support?

Details:
In TorrentPropertiesDialog.cs line 80,
this.Text = selections.Count == 1 ? firstTorrent.Name : "Multiple Torrent
Properties";

OK, I take inspiration from uTorrent, about information tecnology new words,
Italians
tend to use english words instead italian equivalent, not as other cultures.
For example Spanish call mouse with the word "ratón", server is "servidor",
computer
is "ordenador"; Italians call mouse "mouse", server "server" and computer
"computer",
but it's not so easy, for example, keyboard is "tastiera".

i developed a helper program: collect the string from resx files to unixlike
.po
file, and update the resx files with a translated string.

We need to upgrade the translations, so every translator pls send a mail to

kaduleite - now it's better/easier to translate .po files just use poedit
(http://www.poedit.net/download.php) and download .po from repository.

P.S. Could someone update .po file with new strings like "Location".

Check this http://code.google.com/p/transmission-remote-dotnet/wiki/BuildSource
to
see how to compile from sources. This also compiles .po files to language
dll's.
0obeanonymouso0 to edit .po file use poedit (you probably know bout that
already).

I wrote a little prog, which translate the *.XX-XX.resx files based on po
files. I
choose po, because it's a standard translating thing, there are many editors.

Original comment by elso.and...@gmail.com on 17 Mar 2010 at 9:44

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
@elso: it is possilbe to change the source so only the po files are used? at the
moment i think it's a overload. its impossible to use the newest translation
without
manual editing or add simply the newest translation.
a compromise would be u publicate this little script/prog.

btw greate work and ty

And once again. How to compile Transmission Remote.resources.dll in my language
from
.po file to test updated translation?
I updated my po-file but after compiling I got old messages. It seems that
resx-files
for GUI was not updated from new po-file.

Original comment by pavel.ma...@gmail.com on 29 Mar 2010 at 12:19

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
That's probably because there's no new translation strings in according .resx
file
coz they haven't been updated in a while. Basic english version of .resx file
has all
new strings but they are not present in language specific .po file. So although
you
update .po file with new strings they won't show in compiled Transmission
Remote.resources.dll if they're not present in .resx file.

Original comment by ml.ci...@gmail.com on 29 Mar 2010 at 3:07

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
