Given how close to deploy this is, and given that the ÖAW has a unique setup for Docker, perhaps @simar0at could comment?
docker-tools doesn't have much in common with docker-compose yet. So if you run the setup scripts in a separate container once for setting things up there is no particular place I could suggest. This setup will not be fully automated on our servers anyway.
What would be a good place to put the scripts needed to populate the MySQL database and the ES instance? They are part of the project but not specifically django-related. I know there is a folder called src but I think we should put it somewhere else, what you think @interrogator?
Those need to be launched from docker-compose in separate container (ideally one for ES and other for MySQL).
