I'll take a look and see why this is happening. In the mean time, you should be able to install it via composer
composer require acoustep/craft-easymde ./craft install/plugin craft-easymde

5 years ago I've just pushed a release that may fix the installer. Unfortunately I can't test it tonight, but I'll check tomorrow.

When I try to install it on /admin/plugin-store/easymde-markdown-editor I get the following error
acoustep/craft-easymde has been added, but an error occurred when installing it.
Invalid plugin: No plugin exists with the handle "easymde-markdown-editor".
