Meeting Roles #85

Open agilepro opened 8 years ago

Need explicit roles on the Meeting Object. We currently have a role association for meeting attendees. Need roles for:

(1) Attendees (already have) (2) Owner / Planner - responsible for Schedule and possible extra rights (3) Facilitator - (4) Note Taker - can edit any minutes object

My current design for this is that the first time you create or open a meeting, the system will automatically create in the workspace a role for "Meeting Facilitator" "Meeting Recorder" and "Meeting Planner". Those will be initialized to the person who created the meeting. You can go to the role panel and change them.

Then, there will be four slots to specify roles. Currently there is one slot ,initialized to Members and that is for the meeting participants. Three more slots will be for facilitator, recorder and planner. You can, if you want leave them the same as the three created roles, or change them to another role as you wish. If a workspace has only one kind of meeting, then these roles will probably remain static -- only the people in the roles will change as needed.

The recorder is the only person to create "Minutes". Maybe, anyone can create "Minutes" but whoever creates them, the recorder will always be able to edit them. The recorder can indicate who is at the meeting. The recorder can enter responses for other people in rounds and proposals.

Anyone can suggest a provisional meeting agenda item, but only the planner can accept them as part of the meeting. Only the planner can move the items around. Only the planner can edit the descriptions of the agenda items or the meeting as a whole.

The facilitator can start the meeting, and complete the meeting.

These will often be the same person.

The role players will be prominently displayed near the top of the meeting page.
