Integrate Mail-Chimp or other email client #7

Would this have the ability to integrate a certain email client or would it in theory become one.

This is still open for discussion. Becoming a mail client would put an extra load and storage limits on the server. linking and embedding a mail client may be the best way to go. I have not used mail-chimp much but will look into this

Let's discuss this integration aspect that you are seeking more. Are you thinking about integrating mail-chimp so that if you can manage subscribers? For instance, you find a contact and would like to add them to your mail-chimp subscription so you simply click a button to add to mail-chimp. Or is there some other function that you were thinking about?

I do not think that we need to develop a mail client into ifbmt. That will be a lot of overhead and additional work for what will most likely not be utilized as everyone already has an email account somewhere that they prefer.

We can still iniate emails from ifbmt which will be picked up for your local email client already setup of your device by using mailto: links. This will easily integrate with almost any device: smart phone, tablet, desktop etc.)

I agree, a mailto: link seems more useful to me and much easier to code than a full system and the resources that would involve.

I was thinking of just adding/editing contacts to mail chimp through here. I would not want to build campaigns or anything through this, just add new contacts.
