Can we please add a new table called tbl_stock_location. This table will appear at the enterprise level i.e. Home>Stock location, where we can define a set of names. Can the table please have two fields - id and location. Locationis the name of the area i.e. Store 1 or Truck, where the stock is kept.
Next, can we please add a new field to tbl_material and tbl_material_group called location. The location will be a mandatory field and the list of valid entries will be pulled from tbl_stock_location.
Can we please display this field in the TaskToMaterial view also.
The most urgent need for this field is to allow me to specify some material groups and materials as "Truck stock". There are a bunch of smaller items in our material reports which are very difficult to determine without going up in a cherry picker to measure wire sizes and pole widths, or not worth picking as they are carried already on the vehicles. We are considering that we will probably have to get crews to carry a selection of these items with them to save on scoping errors affecting quality and productivity. By having these items specified as Truck stock I will be able to hide or group them up on my reports, without them being chosen. Additionally, I can see this field will be able to be utilised for specifying stock locations within the depot and therefore speeding up the picking of materials, especially for those who are less experienced in the store.
